Fox's TRANSFORMERS Exit Confirmed to Be Voluntary

In addition to yesterday's assertions by Megan Fox's publicist and reports in Variety, we now have a third report that the actress' exit from 'Transformers 3' was voluntary and she was not fired by director Michael Bay nor the producers of the film.

The Motion Captured blog at HitFix has also heard from sources close to the production that Fox left the picture of her own accord.

What has yet to be revealed by anyone, including Fox, is why she left the picture.

Welling talks SMALLVILLE 10

Actor Tom Welling told MTV Splash Page that he hopes the tenth and final season of 'Smallville' brings a confrontation between Clark Kent and Lex Luthor.

"I want to see him come back. In the show, he's still alive. He's just not around," Welling said, "But I want to see Michael [Rosenbaum] and I want to see Lex Luthor. I want to know how that relationship really turns out. Because that's the big relationship that I believe propelled Clark to become Superman."

Fans who watched the season finale caught a saw Rosenbaum's face in a flash forward that revealed Lex would seek the Presidency in 2013. Of course, fans like C2F want to see Clark don the Superman costume once and for all.

"We've seen glimpses of it with the cape and Martha [Kent] presenting it to Clark and saying 'this was in the ship when you got here," Welling told MTV. "I'm sure we're going to see it, I just don't know in what capacity. I don't know if you're going to see me in tights, if that's what you're asking."

SCOTT PILGRIM Soundtrack Sound Bytes

Edgar Wright, director of 'Scott Pilgrim vs The World', dropped a few hints via twitter about what the movie's song score might sound like.

Yesterday morning he told his followers, "It looks like there is so much music in 'Scott Pilgrim,' we might be talking a two volume soundtrack. How exciting!"

He then followed up with news of specific interest to the fans of the graphic novel series.

"I can also confirm that the 1st volume contains 6 tracks from Bryan Lee O'Malley's playlists in the books. Guess which 6 were my favs too."

COWBOYS & ALIENS - camera test

Favreau Confirms Craig in COWBOYS & ALIENS Photo

Collider.com caught a public appearance by director Jon Favreau at a recent "Empire Gives Back" charity screening of 'The Empire Strikes Back'. The director was on hand with his 'Cowboys & Aliens' star Harrison Ford who was the guest of honor at the event.

There was a Q & A afterward and Favreau fielded questions about his soon-to-lens western/space invaders mash-up. The director revealed that the cowboy in the camera test that was posted earlier this week is, in fact, Daniel Craig, the film's leading man.

"That’s him. We couldn’t really show too much because he didn’t want to reveal any images on Twitter but I wanted to kind of get a sense of the feel of it," Favreau explained. "He’s also somebody who plays an iconic figure that has a long tradition. So to have him playing a cowboy, I feel very good now having shot him and worked with him and hearing his thoughts. And the whole cast is great. With each person we add, the enthusiasm grows, with Rockwell and [Paul] Dano, of course Harrison. So far it’s great. The only thing that’s scary is we’re going to be shooting soon."

Craig joined the cast of the film earlier this year when actor Robert Downey Jr. dropped out due to his busy dance card. Favreau said that he personally boarded the project in between the two actors so he's not sure what rewriting, if any Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof did to accomodate the change.

Of Ford, Favreau said, "He’s like our John Wayne. He’s our generation’s John Wayne. How do you separate him from the roles that he’s played? He’s defined the whole genre so you have to take that into consideration."

Bassett talks SOLOMON KANE

Michale J. Bassett, director of 'Solomon Kane', recently did a video interview about the film for the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
