Iron Man 2 is still strong at the box office in its fourth week of release. The movie ranked #4, losing two positions to two newly opening films. It still took in a decent $16 million to bring it's overall domestic cume up to nearly $275 million.

Munroe Discusses DYLAN DOG Differences

It's a familiar refrain for comics-to-film fans: when adapting a comic for film, alterations must be made.

Kevin Munroe, director of Dylan Dog: Dead of Night recently discussed the changes made to the popular Italian comic book character to adapt it as an American film. Credit due Munroe who talks frankly about the changes that were made, how they serve the story of the film, and which elements of the comic he refused to alter (like Dylan's VW Bug).

CAPTAIN AMERICA'S Costume Described

JoBlo.com has seen the design for the combat costume worn during the World War II era in the upcoming Captain America film.

What they describe sounds more the military-style costume seen in Ultimates or on the covers of the recent Captain America: Reborn.

Instead of a mask, Cap will reportedly wear M1 Army style head-gear with some face/eye protection. The white "A" is present on the front but apparently no wings appear on the sides (although the Reborn model had some wings painted on the helmet). They also say the blue color used is not as vibrant as it is in the comics.

Reportedly he still wears a white star on his chest, although it is less prominent than in the comics. The writer goes on to describe the chest piece: "The costume is still split horizontally through the middle with blue on top and red and white stripes on the bottom. But instead of stripes, it's actually just a white base with two red utility straps acting as stripes. These straps affix to a metal loop at the midpoint of the chest and a black strap extends up to the shoulders from that point."

There's blue shoulder armor that extends down to the bicep, with white sleeves extending down the rest of the arm. His hands are covered in brown gloves.

The reporter sums up by saying, "The suit actually has a practical WWII military look to it with some of the obvious Captain America flourishes that we would expect. It's hard to really pass judgment on a costume until you see it properly lit, in motion and doing what it's meant to do. But based on what I saw, I'm pretty impressed with how they were able to adapt the costume for the film."

He also says the shield is pretty much the disc-shaped one we've come to know and love.

THOR's Destroyer Model Photo

Remember that tiny photo of The Destroy, purported to be part of the Thor movie shoot that went online a few weeks ago? Well the Marvel Movies group at Facebook has uncovered a close-up look at a model for the character. The image was snapped during a tour of the Marvel Studios offices in L.A. and provides a good look at the details of the model.

KICK-ASS Joining X-MEN: FIRST CLASS?

There's a rumor afoot that director Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass leading man Aaron Johnson may be circling the X-Men: First Class movie.

Filmonic.com floated the idea in a report that is largely speculative.

At the root of the speculation is a somewhat interesting paparazzi photograph from ContactMusic. The photo shows Vaughn and Johnson, along with actor James McAvoy taken on a London street. Now, as regular readers know, it was revealed on Friday that McAvoy has been cast in First Class as Professor X.

So it's no surprise that Vaughn would have been meeting with him, but what about Johnson. Why was he there, with the director and the star of First Class. Could it be that Vaughn is considering Johnson (who acquitted himself nicely as the lead actor in Kick-Ass) for a prominent role in the Fox's Marvel Mutant reboot?

Speculation online is that Johnson could play young Scott Summers in the film. While we don't actually know the line-up of First Class, the comics also featured Iceman and the Beast.

What do you think, Maniacs? Do we like Johnson for any young mutant roles in FIRST CLASS? Post your comments below...

New SCOTT PILGRIM Trailer Is Up!

The drive to get 100,000 people to like Scott Pilgrim vs The World was a success. The Facebook fan page for the film hit the mark early this morning and, as promised, the studio posted the all new trailer.

You can watch the low-res below, non-embeddable, craptastic version on Facebook or check out the also-no-embeddable but high-def version on Apple.com.

Earlier this morning, director Edgar Wright revealed to fans via twitter that MPAA has settled on a not-unexpected rating for the film.

"I hope you appreciate that Scott Pilgrim is rated PG-13 for 'Stylized Violence, Sexual Content, Language & Drug References'. Makes me smile," Wright wrote to his followers.

In related news, a fan in attendance at the MCM Expo in London snapped photos of six banners from the film depicting the seven evil ex-boyfriends that Michael Cera must fight throughout the film. The pictures are low-quality camera-phone images but still give you another glimpse into the movie.

If you're in the UK, you'll soon be able to purchase the Scott Pilgrim app for your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. The app will allow you to read all six volumes of Bryan Lee O'Malley's outstanding graphic novel series and will apparently offer Volume One of the comic for free. No word if Oni Press plans to distribute the app in the U.S.
