Paramount Pictures has the writers in mind for the live-action reboot of their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise and it's looking like same imaginative team they entrusted for Iron Man. Deadline reports the studio has tasked Art Marcum and Matt Holloway to flesh out a story for the next Ninjas adventure which Michael Bay's shingle Platinum Dunes plans to oversee. This isn't the only high profile writing reboot for Marcum or Holloway because Summit likewise charged them with bringing a new Highlander to the silver screen.

Original TMNT producers Scott Mednick, Galen Walker, and Marina Norman are also on board to supervise the fast-tracking project which Paramount hopes to have in theaters by sometime in 2012.

Plot Concept: Considered one of the most popular kids' television programs of the 1980s, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was created in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. It first debuted as a successful comic book series and then became a hit animated TV show, a live-action television series, three live-action films distributed by New Line (1990-1993), and a recent CGI film distributed by Warner Bros. The property also has translated into a significant consumer products business, with DVDs, video games, toys and more generating billions of retail dollars.
