Just a few days after revealing new international posters that featured the younger versions of the Professor and Magneto from X-Men: First Class, 20th Century Fox and director Matthew Vaughn have unleashed a screenshot of the Hellfire Club scene from the upcoming prequel. Coming online courtesy of Empire, check it out below with a better version here. The scene has Emma Frost (January Jones) and Hellfire Club leader Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) staring each other down in a blue-lit background. Sound off with your thoughts below.
The X-Men prequel also stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Bilner. Helmer Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Layer Cake) led from the director's chair, based on a screenplay by Josh Schwartz, Jamie Moss, Ashley Miller, Zack Stentz and Jane Goldman.
Plot Concept: The prequel charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.
X-Men: First Class hits June 3, 2011.
