What would we find if we could travel through the mirror and see what could be on the other side? One member of the ATX Team gets a peek at that possibility.

What They Say
With many of its central personnel lost in the war, the Earth Federation Government is forced to rebuild, and Brian Midcrid, president of the Unified Colonies, takes the position of its president. During an emergency session of the Federation Diet, he publicly acknowledges the existence of extraterrestials, and reveals the events of the L5 campaign to the masses in what will later come to be called the "Tokyo Declaration". He goes on to state that these aliens pose a serious threat to humanity.

President Midcrid continues, asking for the colonies to unite with earth, and to expand their military forces in a plan called the "Aegis Plan". Under the plan, new weapons are developed, and more mechs are mass produced as the entire planet's defense network is strengthened. But threats still lurk in the shadows. The remnants of Bian Zoldark's "Divine Crusaders". Those within the Federation and its army who plot to turn it into a military dictatorship. And none have yet realized...that the true threats are coming from a world "so close, yet so very far away", and a world of silence...

The planet is being invaded by foes from a parallel world, and from the past.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Something very strange is happening. As Mekibos flees back to the White Star, suddenly the outer shell explodes. At the same moment, Axel is ordered to return to base by Lemon, whose transmission is suddenly cut off. Kyousuke wants to stop him from escaping, but he too is ordered to pull back.

Indeed, something very strange is happening. As Shadow Mirror fight off the Einst inside the White Star, Wendolo suddenly appears, except that he is acting strangely. It would appear that Wendolo has been possessed by the Einst. Our heroes take this occasion to rearm and re-equip their units. Excellen can sense a powerful Einst presence inside. Mekibos finds Wendolo, and when he realizes that his younger brother has joined with the Einst, he tries to finish him off, but Wendolo is too powerful for him. After killing his brother, Wendolo decides that it's time to finish off "the other bloodline," probbaly a reference to Kyousuke.

The action happens so quickly in this episode, it's very hard to keep up, so I'm not going to try to bother. Suffice it to say, the SRX Team takes down Wendolo, while Gilliam has his hands full with Shadow Mirror. The deaths start to pile up, and we get some of the big reveals now: Lemon squares off against Excellen, though Lamia tries to get her to stop fighting. But Lemon cannot stop herself, especially as she is facing...herself. While Excellen in the parallel world almost died, she was brought back to life by the technology available to them, but she did not come completely back. Thus, Lemon Browning was born. Excellen from this world defeats Lemon, and Lemon wishes her "daughter" Lamia happiness, and the chance to love someone, as she loved Axel.

Of course, we still have the main event: Axel versus Kyousuke. In addition, Vindel Mauser has to be put down for good, and it seems that Bullet and Kusuha handle that task. With Mauser's unit in tatters, Gilliam moves in to finish him, but Vindel is not as damaged as one might imagine, as he captures Gilliam's unit. But this is not the end. Gilliam asks Major Kai to remove all friendly units from the White Star. That's because he's going to use System XN himself to perform a dimensional jump. He does not intend to die, he can't because he still has matters he needs to atone for as he says himself, but will dimensional teleport all of the Einst, himself, and Vindel away from this world.

Unfortunately, the dimensional gate allows something else to enter this world: the Einst "queen bee," as Excellen nicknamed it, appears. Using some sort of ancient ruins scattered across the Earth, the Einst Leader surrounds the planet with a ring of energy beams, whose purpose and effect is unknown at this time. All our heroes can do is gape in horror.

The dramatic conclusion is on the horizon.

In Summary:
The process of wrapping up the various storylines continues in this episode, as Shadow Mirror and the Inspectors are finally done away with. But there remains the Einst, with the Einst Leader revealed as the true "big bad" that our heroes will have to take down in order to secure the safety of the Earth.
