A couple of months after its release, Nintendo has finally released a system update to allow 3DS owners to access the Nintendo eShop and the internet web browser. The eShop gives you access to downloading games like Super Marioland, Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening, and more. For a limited time you can download the old classic NEW game Excite Bike for free. Eventually you’ll be able to download movies from Netflix although that is still not live as of yet. You can also Download the free Pokédex 3D application available exclusively through Nintendo eShop, and start collecting data on over 150 Pokémon from the Pokémon Black and Pokémon White Version games! This exciting new application lets you see each Pokémon in 3D with animated motion and sound, and you can rotate the Pokémon image 360 degrees to zoom in and view it from any angle. The detailed Pokédex also allows you to search, sort, and filter all of the data you receive in a variety of ways, making it the essential guide for Pokémon fans.
To download the update go to your system tools, then your Other Settings, and then scroll over a couple of times to get to System Update. Make sure your 3DS is fully charged and it’s a good idea to have it plugged in just in case. The update takes about 10 minutes or so to complete.
