Another E3 has come and gone and on a scale of 1 – 10 I give the show a 6.  While there were wa lot of great games shown, E3 2012 was short on surprises.  There were no major hardware announcements but I suppose that can be a good thing as well.  It should mean that we have another 18 – 24 months before we get a new Playstation or Xbox.  Two of the best games at E3 were games we had already seen at last year’s show, Tomb Raider and The Last of Us.
I still don’t have a lot of enthusiasm for Nintendo’s Wii U.  Hopefull (for Nintendo’s sake) it sells more like the Wii and DS and not the 3DS.  As mentioned in the first part of our coverage, Ubisoft gets the award as MVP, Most Valuable Publisher.  With an upcoming lineup that includes Assassin’s Creed 3, Fry Cry III, Just Dance 4, Rayman Legends, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, Watchdogs, and Zombie U, Ubisoft is poised to have a huge year.
So with that said lets take a look at a few more of E3’s hot trailers and announcements!
Sony Discusses next Generation Console.
U.S. boss of Sony Computer Entertainment Jack Tretton outlined the company's philosophy regarding the next generation of home consoles.
“We've never been first. We've never been cheapest, " Tretton said. "It's about being the best. If you can build a better machine, and it's going to come out a little bit later, that's better than rushing something to market that's going to run out of gas for the long term.
"Ideally, in a perfect world, you want the best machine that ships first, that's cheapest. But the number one goal is to be the best machine, and that's what we're always focused on."
In the past few months some info has begun to surface on Sony's next generation home console, rumored to be codenamed PlayStation Orbis and tentatively slated for a 2013 release. But that seems unlikely to me given no formal announcement. I’d say 2014 is more likely unless were talking holiday season 2013 as a possibility.
Rayman Legends Wii U Trailer
E3 is not all new shooters or action Hack-n-slash games.  One of the very best games I saw was a good old fashioned platforming game in HD and it’s yet again a Ubisoft title!

Super Mario Bros. 2 3DS trailer
Yup! More Mario on the way!

Company of Heroes 2 Debut
The sequel to 2006’s Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes 2, is currently in development, with release scheduled in 2013. The game will officially feature the USSR's Red Army as a new faction (after the release of the Eastern Front fan mod in 2010) and will take the player on various stages of the Eastern Front campaign, from Operation Barbarossa to the Battle of Berlin. It uses the new Essence 3 engine which includes snow and "true sight" which means the player sees what the units see.
Splinter Cell: Black List
Taking place after Conviction, the US president has closed the corrupt Third Echelon and replaced it with the newly formed Fourth Echelon. The president has promoted Sam Fisher as the leader and founder of the organization. Now Sam Fisher must track a group of rogue nations that have had enough of the United States’ military presence in their countries and The Blacklist provides a countdown of escalating terrorist attacks on U.S. assets.
Blacklist introduces a new gameplay mechanic called killing in motion, allowing the player to highlight targets and take them out in quick succession, with a new fluidity while on the run. As well, there will be voice integration with Xbox’s Kinect peripheral, which will allow gamers to say things to distract enemies and then attack.

The Unfinished Swan Teaser Trailer
Enter the surreal world of The Unfinished Swan and explore a mysterious, hidden kingdom. Your journey will be led by a runaway swan who guides you through strange levels filled with bizarre creatures. Discover the land through innovative new game mechanics such as splatting paint on a white surface to uncover your surroundings. Each level will bring new twists, challenges, and puzzles until you eventually come face-to-face with the eccentric King that built this realm.
Elder Scrolls Online Trailer
Elder Scrolls now goes online! In development at ZeniMax Online Studios, this epic MMO is the first Elder Scrolls game to allow players to explore the series' universe with others.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 Debut Trailer
The reveal trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 shown at Konami's Pre-E3 2012 press conference. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be available on PS3 and XBOX 360 sometime in 2013.

Metro: Last Light Live Action Trailer
Metro: Last Light will immerse the player in the haunting, desolate ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, one of the most richly detailed and beautifully realised gaming worlds of modern times. Developer 4A Games will deliver a terrifying, atmospheric single-player adventure that fuses thrilling combat with exploration and survival horror to create a unique, memorable experience.
"We believe that Metro 2033 was a flawed masterpiece," said Danny Bilson, EVP Core Games, THQ. "It was a beautiful, original game that didn't get the marketing support it needed. We won't make that mistake with Metro: Last Light. This game improves on the original in every way -- it will have more polish, deeper and more sophisticated gameplay, and satisfyingly visceral combat, without losing what our fans loved about the original. Metro: Last Light is another artful piece of game development from an Eastern European studio that will thrill and terrify anyone looking for a more cerebral experience than your typical first person shooter."

Star Wars 1313 Gameplay Trailers
Well I think this game might sell a few copies…

Resident Evil 6 Gameplay trailer

Play as Leon S. Kennedy alongside Helena Harper and explore the dark confines of the Ivy University campus and the zombies that fill its hallways. Select Chris Redfield’s mission and head to China for an intense encounter against the deadly J’avo with BSAA colleague Piers Nivans on the rooftops of Lanshiang. The third mission in the E3 demo shifts the action to the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and sees Jake Muller and Sherry Berkin trying to escape the relentless pursuit of the Ustanak, one of the new B.O.W.’s being introduced in Resident Evil 6. Over the course of Resident Evil 6 players will experience how both the stories and the action of each protagonist and their partners cross and interweave ahead of the final climax in China.
