Matt Reeves (Let Me In and Cloverfield) has officially left the new Twilight Zone movie project. Collider and Variety are reporting that due to scheduling conflicts he won’t direct the film penned by Tony Peckham (Sherlock Holmes). Sadly, Variety does not report on what the other project is that Reeves left the zone for.

This new Twilight Zone film was a highly sought after project with directors such as Christopher Nolan, Alfonso Cuaron, Michael Bay and Rupert Wyatt in contention. Will any of these (hopefully not Bay) directors unlock the door with the key of imagination? As soon as Mania founds out, we’ll all crossover into the Twilight Zone.

Thanks to Chopsaki for the submission.
