Earlier I posted the news that producer Mark Millar hinted at Sentinels in the X-Men: First Class sequel (see article). As cool as that story was, about the Days of Future Past storyline, broke a heart wrenching story for all fans of the X-Men movie franchise. Director Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass) has decided to not direct the sequel. The crazier part of this story is two things:

1. Matthew Vaughn has decided to direct the big screen adaptation of Mark Millar’s Secret Service. Strange as Millar is the executive producer of X-Men: Days of Future Past

2. Bryan Singer, yes that Bryan Singer, is now on the studios short list of directors to take over the film. Thus prompting the man who started the X-Men movies to take back the director seat of the franchise.

Will X-Men: Days of Future Past make its July 18th, 2014 start date?
