At first we heard from Mark Hamill (read here) now Captain Solo himself, Harrison Ford. In an exclusive for Entertainment Weekly, Geoff Boucher reports that “Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he’s upbeat about it, all three of them are”.  This comes from a highly placed source that the essential Star Wars three are ready for another adventure.
This is interesting as Ford has come out and stated that Han Solo should have died at the end of Return of the Jedi. Ford was also quoted in saying “As a character he was not so interesting to me”.
Besides a huge paycheck for Ford on a new Star Wars film, there is also the lure of working with Kathleen Kennedy again. She was one of the producers on the Indiana Jones franchise. With Lucas out of the picture, will Captain Solo indeed return to the franchise? The waiting game continues.
