It appears that there is no way of keeping The Chronicles of Narnia on the shelf. The C.S. Lewis Company has partnered with The Mark Gordon Company to adapt and produce a live action version of the “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair.” This is incredible surprising after the third installment of the franchise, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, made $400 million on a $155 million budget.
The difference here is that this time the C.S. Lewis Company now has Mark Gordon as a producer. The Gordon Company has produced such films as Saving Private Ryan, Wonder Boys and Speed. Though in comparison, the first two films did have Disney behind it so perhaps the fault lies with the product and not the producers?
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair is currently in development and has no official casting or release date.
