NBC has greenlighted a pilot for Constantine. The series will be a drama based on the popular comic book by Vertigo Comics. The script is being written by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist) and David S. Goyer (Man of Steel).
“Constantine centers on John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond”.

John Constantine first surfaced in 1985 in the pages of “Swamp Thing” and was created by Alan Moore ("The Watchmen"). He was played by on the big screen Keanu Reeves in a 2005 feature. However, the character is still rumored to be in Warner Brothers feature length film Justice League Dark by Guillermo del Toro. How this series will effect his involvement in that film, remains to be seen.
