It seems another interesting development has enter into the Ant-Man movie. The film, currently in the deepest pit of development hell, recently lost its director, Edgar Wright. Three directors were on Marvel’s short list to replace him. Adam McKay, Rawson Marshall Thurber, and Ruben Fleischer. McKay has moved on from the race and now it seems one of the last directors wasn’t really involved at all.

Jeremy Smith, (see twitter) of Ain’t it Cool News, has come out and informed all of the media that Rawson Marshall Thurber, the director of We’re The Marshalls, wasn’t part of the equation. This leaves Ruben Fleischer the director of Zombieland as the last man standing.

What do you think Manics? If only Blu-ray/ DVD special features would actually reveal what went on behind the scenes. It would as entertaining as the film.

Synopsis: The film follows a biochemist Dr. Hank Pym using his latest discovery, a group of subatomic particles, to create a size-altering formula. Though his first self-test goes awry, he develops an instrument that helps him communicate with and control insects. Paul Rudd will play Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Michael Douglas stars as Hank Pym.
Ant-Man is written by Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) and features Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Patrick Wilson and Corey Stoll.
Ant-Man arrives July 17, 2015 (probably not going to happen).
