As expected, Steven Spielberg's A.I. took the weekend's top spot, though it certainly wasn't a massive weekend hit. The film, which had been long in development by the late Stanley Kubrick, took in an estimated $30,135,000 in its opening weekend. In the process, it bumped last week's top spot holder, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, down to number two with an additional $20,000,000. Here are the rest of the top ten figures:
