This news comes via the VARIETY story about HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE director Chris Columbus leaving the series.

If you're saying, "Wha..? Huh?" read the story in today's news. If you want to know when you might pick up your copy of ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, this is for you.

It seems Scholastic Publishing, the American publishers of the POTTER books, has firmed up on the date it expects the book. It has taken to consistently (that's the key) telling jittery stockholders that J.K. Rowling's fifth book in the series will hit in June of next year.

While that date was reported by us awhile back (when the dates were swirling between September of this year and June of next) June is now becoming the date mentioned over and over. Hopefully, that means we suffer through this last delay, then the two-year wait is over.
