"What number are we on?" laughs actress Ashley Laurence as she discusses the latest in the never-ending horror series HELLRAISER.
For Laurence's erudition and the reader's let it be known that we are now on the sixth film in the adventures of the dastardly Cenobite known as Pinhead. Dubbed HELLRAISER: HELLSEEKER, the picture debuts on video and DVD this month. While Pinhead is back, of course, HELLSEEKER also features the long-awaited return of Laurence's character, Kirsty Cotton, the heroine from the first two installments of the Clive Barker series.
As the star of 1987's HELLRAISER and its 1988 follow-up, HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II, it has often been rumored that Laurence would be returning to the long-lived franchise. But aside from the occasional bit of recycled footage from parts one and two, the actress has not been seen in a new HELLRAISER film until now. And as it turns out, all it took was a phone call from a certain prickly-faced Cenobite to make it happen.
