There are those who believe that life here began out there... somewhere in the archives of Universal Pictures, that is, where the original BATTLESTAR GALACTICA episodes can be found. Fortunately for those fans, the studio has finally seen fit to release the entire run of GALACTICA on Oct. 21 in a six-disc box set called BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE COMPLETE EPIC SERIES. Featuring all 24 hours of the show, including the three-hour pilot, plus new interviews, commentaries and never-before-seen footage, the set is bound to make even a Cylon warrior happy.

Richard Hatch, who starred as Captain Apollo in the series, is as enthusiastic about the DVD set as even the most rabid fan. In particular, he's excited about the "lost" scenes that have been added to the episodes.

"It's been amazing, not only the interest [in the show], but also the struggle to find uncut episodes, because most episodes have been basically reformatted [over the years]," he says. "They were always cutting up and changing and basically distorting the original, and the fans were frustrated because they couldn't find original uncut episodes. So this is the 24-hour comprehensive set that fans have been waiting for."
