The Review!
Since we've reviewed this series as it came out, the box set review will simply be of the packaging used. Please refer to our individual reviews for each of the discs content and technical quality aspects.

It’s rather hard to tell from the online images, but there’s a good amount of nice detail to this black box. The red Nerv logo is definitely the draw as well as seeing the eyes of the Evangelion unit in red, but there’s some other neat bits. Along the top you get the logo for the box again, but also the multiple eyes of Adam. The sides with the Nerv logo have all the ‘clockwork’ artwork from the episodes opening displayed underneath. Of course, the Evangelion unit looking out from the spine is what’s going to look really slick on people’s shelves. This box isn’t the usual flimsy kind we’re used to, but it’s still a “fold up” style with more thickness to it as opposed to the fully solid cardboard boxes. It’s definitely something that’s going to grab peoples attentions.
