The Review!
The first batch of Inmu provided four brief separate stories across its original two episodes. This second batch of Inmu essentially does the same, so you can figure out already whether you’re interested based on that set. This one offers up new characters, but essentially the same kind of plots.

Audio:
For our primary viewing session, we listened to this disc in its original language of Japanese. There's little beyond a basic stereo mixing here with the majority of the sound coming through the center channel. Dialogue is nice and clear and the music and ambient effects make decent use of the left/right channels. There's little here to really do much more than a basic track anyway.

Video:
This is a pretty decent transfer overall with little in the way of problems. Unlike a lot of other Pink Pineapple produced shows, this one is done in such a way that it’s not overly CG looking with bright vivid colors, instead going for a more subtle palette. Cross coloration is pretty non-existent and only a few instances of some minor aliasing going on.

Packaging:
The two keepcases for Inmu 2 in the box get some nice covers with a mixing of the characters from the different stories on it. The covers do feel pretty busy though with the large character designs, the uncensored and adults only logos as well as the inclusion of the voice actresses pictures. The back covers show off some animation shots from each show and have a good summary of each episode. Features and technical information is nicely listed as well. The box set itself features the cover from the first volume while the back does a summation of the two keepcase backings. As with all NuTech releases to date, there is no insert included.

Menu:
The menus are pretty decent, with the shows logo and selections around the outer edge and animation from the show playing inside it. Access times are nice and fast and the layout is pretty standard for NuTech releases.

Extras:
The main anime related extra is the inclusion of a video photo gallery showing various pieces of artwork from the show. There's also the inclusion of the voice actress video interview (in DD or DTS 5.1 mind you) and a couple of voice actress video photo gallery.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Inmu 2 brings back the Mysterious Witch character who manipulates peoples lives to her own mysterious end goals, most of which seem to involve her acquiring people into her own realm. With each episode being two short stories, there’s not much empathy to be made with the cast, but they usually do a good job of establishing the setting and the mood.

The opening story has an interesting tale of its own, with a couple that’s having some trouble. She’s not ready to give herself to him yet, and she finds out he’s been hanging out at a massage parlor lately. The Witch shows up outside there when she goes to check it out, only to learn that the masseuse he sees looks like her identical twin, just slightly different. Instead of becoming jealous, she gets turned on by the situation. She intends to find out more, but there’s a downside to meeting someone who may be your exact double.

Another story involves a man who acquires some magical cards, some Shadow Cards, where it can bring the women in them alive as well as bringing real women into the cards. There’s a whole world behind the cards, and the man who ends up with them uses them to bring one of his objects of desire there to be under his control. This is probably one of the best looking episodes on the disc in terms of character designs and attractive looking women.

The episodes in the end are a mixed bag, some good and some not so hot. They’re about on par with the first set, so if you enjoyed that, you’ll probably enjoy these as well.
