Packaging:
Done in a nice hard box with one side that opens, the first thing you'll notice is that this is a very pink box! It fits in nicely with the keepcases style of mixing the pink and white, causing a very nice blend. Each of the large sides have a different image of May, with the front having both the Japanese and English on it. The outward facing side panel has a number of small face shots and a simple logo along the bottom. The bottom of the case has all the technical information and what's contained in it.

Extras:
There's two extras included in this set. The first is a CD-ROM in a keepacse. The CD-ROM is essentially a mirror of the Japanese CD-ROM release of the individual "hand books". Each of the five books on the CD provide all sorts of full color images from the show, descriptions in-character of what's going on, comic strips, full production cast information and more. It's extensively detailed, fantastic to look at and works on both PC's and Mac's. Everything appears to be fully translated from the original Japanese text but retains the same layout. It's a really great piece that compliments the series beautifully and provides something that's very rare in the U.S. release market.

The other extra is a 1/6th scale Hand Maid May Action Figure "complete with nine points of articulation". They also include an alternate set of legs, a stand and a usb-cable (that plugs into her) with the figure. This is all nicely kept inside a box that fills out the rest of the hard box. The figure is nice and solid and doesn't feel cheap in the slightest. The colors, articulation and design is spot on and it looks great sitting next to my speakers now.

Conclusion:
For those who already owned the series and enjoyed it, picking up this set is a no brainer. While it's certainly all "bonus" material, it's a lot of great material done up in a very slick way. The inclusion of the action figure as an extra bonus for those who bought the series during its release is great, though I'm sure it's confounding those who want it and the entire series, but sometimes you just have to give the early-buyers an edge. This release looks great on the shelf, and having May next to me on the desk is definitely something that's smile inducing.
