The Review!
Battle Athletes, at first was one of those series' that I thought I would never get into, but once I finally got around to watching it, the more I realized what a great series this is.

The characters are all memorable, every one of them more interesting than the last. The series concludes with the final episodes which pits Akari versus the very person she trained with as well as another character who's maniacal ambition may try to kill everyone competing in the Competition!

Video: A (Once again, Pioneer releases a marvelous display with beautful animation and an unforgettable, and not to mention formidable Olympic-like arena in crystal-clear clarity.)

Sound: A (As if the Dolby were full-fledged 5.1, every sound is delivered in every heart-pounding moment right down to the heart-breaking finale.)

Content: A (This series is fabulously ended with this final installment of the six episodes each more intense than the last. In Episode 5, Akari and Kris are faced with the maniacal ravings of one of their bitter rivals, forcing Kris to withdraw from the final competition, leaving Akari to compete alone against the final competitor alone in the 6th and final episode.)

Overall: A (A seemingly small anime series reveals that even the smallest of OAV series' can truly be one of the most incredible series' ever to grace the American shores with its presence. A heart-wrenching series that will automatically welcome itself into any anime lover's collection if given the chance, this series is one that will be remembered in years to come.)
