The Review!
Technical:

The packaging was really good and cool looking (too bad that is the best of this movie). I watched the english dubbed version of this movie, and the voice acting was pretty good. Characters sounded with it, and did a good job. I never checked out the Japanese version, so I cannot give you the details on this. The quality of the video was excellent. I didn't see any rainbows, but I have noticed that rainbows seem to appear on different machines. Anyway, I didn't think the extras weren't all that great. The behind the scenes video was boring, and didn't help me much. The character sketches were pretty good, and the movie trailers were pretty good. It also comes with an extra disk with just trailers from CPM and their sub-companies. Some of the trailers were enjoyable, but others were just plain boring and stupid. I didn't bother with the rest of the extras.

Content:

Now we get into the worst of the review. I'm gonna keep this short because I don't remember a lot of it since I couldn't get into it. First off, the movie starts out with a girl running up to Utena, and Utena calls her cute. Utena can't seem to make up her mind on whether she is a lesbian or straight. One minute she likes this girl, the next she likes a guy, she thoughs a girl on her bed, they start touching each other, then she flips out and tells the girl to get out immediately. Not only did that make no sense, but her hair kept going from short to long out of nowhere.

SPOILER:

Another scene that doesn't make sense is at the end. She is human, then becomes a car, then is a human again, but is naked and kissing the other girl.

END SPOILER!

The plot just kept changing, and making less sense as you go on. It could have been a good movie, but wasn't. I read reviews on it, and they say it is good, but I don't see what they find so good in it. I would suggest renting this before you decide to buy it. Eitherway, try to have fun when you watch this one.
