Audio was pretty much the same as the prior 5 discs. It could never be as bad as the first one. Not much else to say about that, pretty much its all good. We only checked the dub, but it was dubbed to usual ADV/EVA standards.
Good quality. No problems on this side. Looks like all the prior DVDs (see a trend yet?)
I'm still angry that the sides of the packaging to not line up like Cowboy Bebop or Trigun or just about anything else.
Same weak previews. Same weak extras. Just as weak, not weaker.
Collection 0:7 reveals some of the mysteries in the series that the previous slew of episodes have led up to.
While this disc could not hold a candle to the drama that Collection 0:6 had, this is the first disc where all of the episodes did not suck.
Episode 21 is an episode which covers most of the backstory for the organization that would eventually become NERV. You learn a lot about the backgrounds of most of the characters, Yui Ikari, Naoko Akagi (Ritsuko's mother), and some more info on Gendo.
Episode 22 gets you into the mind of Asuka, pilot of Eva 02. A orbiting Angel attacks Unit 02 and we get into the mind of Asuka, who is having a hard time coping with her past. A little bit about the Lance of Longinuss is revealed.
Episode 23 reveals a lot in the way of plot, while keeping things interesting. NERV's true plans slowly start to come to light as Ritsuko shows Misato some of the secretive plans that have been going on mostly unnoticed.
Overall, an interesting disc, and worth all 25.99 paid for. Even though it was not by me at all. It should be noted that the scenes from the director's cut are not included.
