The Review!
Audio
Every sounds great I couldn't detect any problems. It sounds very solid.

Video
Great stuff for the most part every once in awhile there is some grain. From what I've heard the masters are in pretty bad shape so Animeigo went all out and remastered the video. They did a great job the show looks great.

Menu
Although standard I like how it's in a cockpit and then it plays some of the great music from Macross and shows some video footage.

Packaging
The only thing bad about the whole release. The cover to the box I like. The rest well sucks. There should be some great pictures on the 2 sides but there isn't :( The covers to the dvds I wish would have had the R2 covers or something similar to it.The only one which looked good was disc 9 with the Macross. However I did like the lettering they had for the covers.

Extras
Animeigo makes another great batch of linear notes. Also on episode 35 and 36 is some comments from one of the Macross creators. The fact that it's a tv series is why that deserves praise.

Content
This is my very first time seeing the oringal Macross TV series.I am blown away what a great show.I've seen the other Macross shows and they can't even compare.Macross storyline might seem cliched war against aliens. However that isn't what the story is about exactly. It's about the characters their lives and relationships. Also about the aliens and how their lives change too.The story is wonderful and great.I'm sure everyone knows the story to Macross though.

I enjoyed this show a lot it's addicting it's best watched and most enjoyable when watching several episodes and just not one at a time.Every thing about this series is top notch. Now I've gotta see Macross DYRL.My only complaint about the whole thing is I wish Hikaru would've ended up with one of the girls Misa or Minmay.I'm assuming that will happen in Macross DYRL.

Macross is great it's the best mecha show I've ever seen next to Z Gundam.
Macross might be slow paced for some people but Macross is more about it's story than being a mecha show.Top notch story, music, character development I enjoyed it thoroughly and now know why it's so loved.

Macross was my most wanted to see anime since Animeigo set up pre orders on their website a few years ago.I'm glad to finally have seen it.The show is to be watched at several episodes at a time though thats when I enjoyed it the most.

In the end I'm glad to own it and it was worth $250.I recommend it very much so hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did.
