There are less than two weeks until Comic-Con, the biggest annual event in the comics industry. We're pleased to present the third in COMIC-CON PITCH 2006, in which Comics2Film endeavors to connect indie comics creators with Hollywood producers.

Today we talking to Anna Warren Boersig, of Illusive Arts Entertainment about their indie sensation 'Dorothy'!

Q: Describe DOROTHY in two sentences or less.

DOROTHY by Illusive Arts Entertainment

Anna Warren Boersig (AWB): Dorothy is a modern retelling of L. Frank Baum's "Wizard of Oz," a 21st century take on the classic tale of a young girl who finds her destiny entwined with a strange land. The unique visual style is created with live-action photography, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max and Lightwave.

Q: If you were to compare DOROTHY to a movie or TV show what would it be?

AWB: Visually, "Sin City". Character-wise, it's "Leon: The Professional" meets "Labyrinth".

Q: Why do you think DOROTHY would translate to film/TV/animation?

AWB: "Dorothy" features a strong female protagonist in fantastic, yet familiar, situations. The science-fiction elements combine with the fantasy background in a way that feels like a modern action movie, yet right now only exists on paper.

Q: Why should movie folks seek you out at Comic-Con?

AWB: From the publication of the first issue, we have received "Hollywood" interest. Our concepts are clever and marketable, but we haven't yet encountered individuals who can actualize the potential of this unique art and storytelling. Will you be the one? Will you be our Wizard and let us know it was within us all along?

Q: How can folks find you at Comic-Con (please provide booth number and additonal contact info)?

AWB: We will be at Booth #2203 in the IP Pavilion.
