King Enters Asylum (Mania.com)

In a first for horror master Stephen King, the best-selling author has adapted someone else's work for the big screen.

King put his hand to Patrick McGrath's novel 'Asylum' for Paramount Pictures, according to Variety.

The film tells the story of an English insane asylum, where the superintendent's wife falls in love with one of the patients, a murderer. Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson will follow as leads if Jonathan Demme signs on as director, according to Variety.
