CONTEST: Win REBA on DVD!

While it's not precisely the kind of show that we give much exposure to here on CINESCAPE, it's proven to be a hit for The WB and we've covered it before in our weekly TV Wasteland column. The show is REBA, the sitcom about a middle-aged Texas woman whose life takes an unexpected detour when her dentist husband of 20 years divorces her for his pregnant dental hygienist. To make matters worse, Reba's 17-year-old daughter tells her that she's pregnant also with the high school's football star's baby, and that they want to move in together to the family home to raise their child. The show stars country western singer-turned-actress Reba McEntire, Christopher Rich as her ex-husband, Melissa Peterman as Barbra Jean, his new wife, and JoAnna Garcia as Reba's daughter, Cheyenne.

Because we want to show you that we're not just about spaceships, vampires and hobbits, CINESCAPE and Fox Home Entertainment are teaming up to give away five DVD copies of REBA: The Complete First Season, out this week on DVD. This three-disc set collects all 22 episodes of the show's first season. If you want to enter the contest, you must not have won in another CINESCAPE contest in the past two months. Here's what else you need to know:

Send an email to this address with the subject heading "REBA" and answer this skill testing question: what 1990 science fiction movie did Reba McEntire star in? Of the correct contest entries, five finalists will be randomly selected with each winner receiving a DVD copy of REBA: The Complete First Season. The contest is open from 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2004, and will close at 12:01 PM on Sunday, December 19, 2004. Winners will be drawn from the entries and contacted for their mailing information (sorry, all winners must be from in region 1 [North America only.]) Prizes will be mailed via ground postal service once they are received from Fox. Only one contest entry per person will be accepted and submitting multiple entries will forfit your participation in the contest. Yes, country western singers who are now Hollywood actors can enter this contest provided that they do not star on REBA.
