A manila folder stuffed with classic 'Watchmen' documents dropped on the internet this week. That new TV ad is up in HD as well. Also, Jackman talks about the new 'Wolverine' movie and 'The Dark Knight' gets (you guessed it) more awards! Hop into your flying car and dial up the holotransmitter because this is your 21st century Comics2Film 9.1.20!

THE DARK KNIGHT wins!

We know you never tire of reading about the awards 'The Dark Knight' is collecting. Well, good news. The Online Film Critics Society announced their winners of their 2008 awards.

The bat-film clamed four awards including "Best Director" for Christopher Nolan, "Best Supporting Actor" for Heath Ledger, "Best Cinematography" for Wally Pfister, and "Best Original Score" for The Dark Knight, James Newton Howard & Hans Zimmer.

Certainly to the chagrin of some commenting Maniacs here, no other comic-based superhero movie collected a prize from the web-critics.

WATCHMEN TV spot #2 - Now de-crapified!

Yesterday we showed you a really terrible bootleg of the latest 'Watchmen' TV ad. Today, TheMovieBox.net posts the video in hi-def. Check out the better view...

WATCHMEN viral web-network expands

Remember The New Frontiersman, the 'Watchmen' tie-in site that opened earlier this month, but displayed little content? Well, now the site is updating, rolling out documents, photos and links to other locations on the web where fans can get immersed in the back-stroy elements of the film.

One highlight: a suite of photos from the "old days" found on Flickr!  Poke around the site and see what else you discover. And be sure to post any cool findings in the comments below!

Masked adventurer Mothman being sectioned for admittance to a mental institution in Maine - 1953.

The Doomsday Clock, created in 1947. The closer the clock stands to midnight, the nearer the world is to Armageddon.

NYPD incident report for the murder of Ursula Zandt (AKA The Silhouette) and a female companion – November 12th 1954.

Hugh Jackman talks WOLVERINE

Here's a nice little interview with Mr. Hugh Jackman from The Hollywood Reporter. In it he praises 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' screenwriter David Benioff and director Gavin Hood, as well as comments on starting with the origin, bringing fresh blood into the franchise and being bad-ass!

Thanks to Antonello Blueberry for the submission.

I like the frontiersmen site I like the reports of Jon being spotted, the murder report on Silk and her lover and the pic of Mothman being restrained and taken to the asylum.

I have good feeling Wolverine will be good definitely waaaaay better then X-Men 3 but hopefully good enough where they'll make another one so we can see Logan in Japan. But also so we can see the Magneto film done but I don't know if I want Goyer to direct it.I think it's hilarious how Richard Jenkins is like sitting there not knowing who Gambit is or any of these characters are lol but Jenkins is a funny guy I enjoy his work.
