If it came down to scheduling conflicts, which would you rather become on the silver screen? The devil or The Crow? Well, Bradley Cooper has made a decision in terms of upcoming high-profile projects and The Crow was not on the winning side. HR is reporting the actor had to make the choice between Alex Proyas' Paradise Lost and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's upcoming reboot of the James O'Barr comic book character because both productions were scheduled to begin shooting early next year. He went with playing Lucifer opposite archangel Michael (Benjamin Walker) in the adaptation of John Milton's classic poem.

Fresnadillo will move onward with the Relativity Media's gritty reboot of the Eric Draven character, with the trade reporting that some early favorites to replace Cooper appear to be Mark Wahlberg and Channing Tatum. The list of possible candidates will likely grow over the next few weeks but those two actors are the front-runners at the current moment.

Juan Carlos penned the original screenplay before Alex Tse was brought in for some rewrites.

Wise decision by Cooper but I wish he had chosen the Crow cause I don't care for the Crow but I do want to see Proyas' work on Paradise Lost and I don't like Cooper.

I'm excited for paradise lost but the original crow is great don't see the need to reboot it but opinions aside this is turning into a cursed project that can't get off the ground.

taylor kitsch is the guy for it.  clear eyes, full hearts, cant lose!

say what you want about cooper... he was still a better choice than wahlberg and tatum. wahlberg is a fine actor, but this isn't a role that suits his talents. rmember the last time he tried playing a darker kind of character? max payne. and that movie blew donkey balls. and i'm sure tatum will be busy further ruining the g.i. joe franchise, so he's out.

this whole franchise has been in a downward spiral ever since the shot Brandon Lee... just forget it,, move on... youv'e done enough damage... they had Mark Decasco a couldn't do a damn thing with him... cut bait.

Please, oh please choose Channing Tatum.  That way, I won't even have to think about going to see this movie.  I like Cooper, but I have trouble seeing him as the tight lipped, undead vengance machine.  Shades of Affleck as Daredevil, talk about miscasting.

Thank bejesus. No mention that Proyas directed the original Crow...strange. Proyas was like, "Listen Bradley, my original was a classic, Brandon Lee cannot be replaced, and although I haven't made a good movie since Dark City, trust me, you'd rather stay clear from that franchise."

MTV suggested Rob Pattinson. I was skeptical but the idea grew on me. He could still do his goth thing, but now he can sink his teeth into a role where he can try and tough it up a little.

In all honesty, just do a badass sequal. I'm down for another crow story, why does it have to be Draven?

 tatum is worthless

Oooh, Rob Pattinson!  There's a good idea, if they cast him not only will I not have to go see it, I can keep it off my Netflix too.
