Roger Corman, who has produced innumerable bad-if-fun genre films, and given many of today's leading lights in genre creation their start, is coming back to filmmaking after a few years away from the medium that made him famous.
Corman, whose low budgets are almost as famous as the camp quality of his films, is producing CAPTAIN JUSTICE, a $3 million superhero movie. Well, kind of superhero movie. The story follows a criminal who runs into an idealistic young boy, and who then poses as the boy's favorite superhero. What's more, Corman is reviving the moribund Cosmic Comics label to print CAPTAIN JUSTICE comics in connection with the film.
No word on who will play what in the film, but don't expect any name stars. Shooting starts in early 2003.
