LOL @ Wiseguy - What I was getting at was after I see the movie, sure I'll remember the spectacular fight scenes, but I want to remember the story too.  I want to remember Clark acting like a dunce around Lois.  I want to walk out saying that was a great movie, not that was a great effects spectacular.

As for Diane Lane being a stretch to do the farmer's wife, if I remember correctly (and this may have been the Smallville explanation) Martha Kent was a big city girl who fell for  the down-home country boy and came back to the farm with him.

Wise - Can we have "shaky cam" during the fights (like a news report filmed on someone's phone.  Kinda switch from real/in person to "reporting live from ... " type filming could be cool.

I agree with Wise! 90% action and 10% drama!!!! Superman returns was all drama, it would have been somewhat decent if it had good actions seen...

For those who can't see Henry Cavill as Superman, remember this:  At least it's not Nicholas Cage in Tim Burton's would be cinematic abortion!

I want to see Superman get seriously tested...I want to see the edge of his powers explored, not necessarily cracked mind you, but heavily tasked. In other words, I want to see the Man of Steel in a situation that you can actually read on his face, "...if I don't do this just right, it will be bad..." That's what I want to see.

Great casting. Costner is an excellent actor, and will bring weight to the role. If anyone could follow Brando, why not Costner?

I TOTALLY agree with you Wiseguy. an extended long fight scene (ala Superman 2) is PERFECT!!!!!

I love that scene. By the way have any of you watched the directors cut? By far the most superior Superman EVER on screen

I think if they leave Zack Snyder alone and let him make his film, then we should be amazed.  Zack Snyder is master of speed synching shots imagine Supes facing off against Bizzaro or some other bad ass villain.  Flying in at full speed then at the crucial second Zack speed synch the image you see the sonic boom gorm aroun the punch as a puff of air donuts around Superman's fist, and Bizzaro takes it doesn't even move only to retaliate with a ridiculous upper cut sending superman hurtling toward space. C'mon that the stuff we want to see.

Great casting.  Between Synder's visuals, Goyer's storytelling under the guiding hand of Nolan, The Last Son of Kypton will finally take his rightful place beside Batman in terms of movie prominance.

I want to see Darkseid where Superman is defeated at first but then defeats him in the end after Darkseid does something horrible like kill a few innocent people or something.

I'm looking forward to seeing young Clark swing a baseball bat and tear up the basepaths, as we all know now that Costner's involvement will include the game in some form.

Every piece is so important, and they locked a solid one down with Kevin Costner, one of the greatest american entertainers of all-time.
