Nice, hanso!...LOL...reminds me of one Conan's best "If They Mated" bits...What if Kevin Costner in Waterworld mated with Kevin Costner in The Postman...the offspring picture was John Travolta from Battlefield: Earth...LOL.

I'm telling you guys, Delroy Lindo would make a great Luthor. Won't happen, but he would be an interesting choice.

As for McDuffie damn. I was a huge fan of the Milestone characters. These were African American heroes that weren't stereotypes or side kicks. And, unlike most of the other African American themed comics of the time, the Milestone stuff was very well done. He was a real ground breaker.

I corresponded with him a few times over email and he as a really cool guy. Very helpful and forthcoming with advice.

He will be missed.

Rest in peace my brother. Rest in peace.

I agree wholeheartedly abou McDuffie, a terrible loss to the industry...

I'm still all for WBruce Willis as Luthor...

I like Costner.  He could do no wrong until he made Robin Hood.  From that point on, it was one bad movie after another.  And, it doesn't get worse than Waterworld and Postman.  The problem, he wanted so desperately to change his "all American" image that he lost what made him great.  I'd like to see him return to some of that greatness.  It has been hinted at in several films, but never quite achieved again.

Yep, Jonathan Kent, I also think he'd have made a good Perry White, take the character somewhere new!

johnwhitetoledo 2/23/2011 12:15:20 AM

yes, he would be perfect as a JK. Really, he is perfect for that. the way he talks, his cool calm reasoning voice.

Plus he dies win/win.

The Postman is one of my favorite all time unintentional comedies....

If the part in not that of Jonathan, there were a few villians, like Morgan Edge, that could be older and not buff either, though he would be likely to be an Intergang boss and a subordinate to Darkseid. The point being that it could be a major supporting role and not be Jonathan Kent or the main villian.

I personally hope that, regardless of Costner's role, that there is NO Lex Luthor in this movie. That is one character I have really gotten bored with.

I am one of those that liked Superman Returns. I hope this incarnation fares better in the box office with their shorter Superman..

Got to have Lex, just not as the big bad!

BunyonSnipe 2/24/2011 9:57:40 PM

Dean Cain is still the shortest actor to play Superman at 6'0"

Kirk Alyn, George Reeves and Henry Cavill are all 6'1"

Brandon Routh  and Tom Welling both  6'3"

Christopher Reeve is still the tallest at  6'4"
