Sierra Entertainment has officially announced COUNTER-STRIKE: CONDITION ZERO for the PC.
CONDITION ZERO, a team-based action game, is being developed by Gearbox Software and Valve Software. The game is based on Valve's popular online game COUNTER-STRIKE, and will add more than 20 new single player missions. Also included are new maps, new weapons, and new character models. The game is a stand-alone, and will not require the original game to play.
"Working with members of the original team to produce COUNTER-STRIKE: CONDITION ZERO has been an incredible experience for Gearbox," said Randy Pitchford, president and director of Gearbox Software. "As very active COUNTER-STRIKE players, we understand the challenge and care needed to create a compelling single-player experience. COUNTER-STRIKE: CONDITION ZERO represents a new and complete collection of all COUNTER-STRIKE gameplay, and we're very much looking forward to unleashing it to the community."
COUNTER-STRIKE: CONDITION ZERO is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2002.
