What They Say

Jazz agers, flower children, lost generation, beatniks, rockers, punks, nerds, hackers, lovers, generation X - whatever the designation, there have always been outlaws in our society who live in pursuit of autonomy.
At times they are revered for their roles as pioneers, challenging the unknown; other times people consider them lawless desperadoes and a dangerous presence.
Yet, really, it is only their exuberant music and an autonomy founded to express opinions different from those of others that set them apart from the rest of society.
The year 2071 AD. That future is now. Driven out of their terrestrial eden, humanity chose the stars as the final frontier. With the section-by-section collapse of the former nations a mixed jumble of races and peoples came. They spread to the stars, taking with them the now confused concepts of freedom, violence, illegality and love, where new rules and a new generation of outlaws came into being. People referred to them as Cowboy Bebops.....The Review!
Wahoooo! Welcome to the world of Cowboy Bebop! Here we go partners into another exciting session! The fourth volume of this fine title contains the following sessions: Session #10 - "Ganymede Elegy," Session #11 - Toys in the Attic," and Session #12 "Jupiter Jazz (part 1)."
In Session #10 radical animal-rights activists tire of corporate inaction while a certain cute and intelligent sea-creature ends up in the frying pan. They will make monkeys out of us all! The crew of the Bebop blasts into action!
In Session #11 something dark and ominous is creeping around inside the Bebop. Is it a mouse? Or maybe (GASP!!) a space monster! The
crew falls one by one as the ghastly creature creeps around! In the end, one crew member will
give the creature its just deserts! In space no one can hear your stomach grumble.
In Session #12(part 1), the past becomes real for Spike as Julia drives him to search for her. This episode comes in two parts. Vicious' and Spike's paths cross with tragic consequences. Sometimes people are not what they seem and what they really are can be deadly.
This fourth volume of Cowboy Bebop is a memorable one. There are radical animal-rights activists, strange creatures, and vengeful people. As always, the production values are superb. This Japanese DVD release is a keeper.
