Max Thieriot (Jumper) has replaced former leading star Henry Lee Hopper for Wes Craven's return to the world of horror, 25/8, says the Hollywood Reporter. Contrary to previous reports, Dennis Hopper's son didn't bow out of the project due to creative differences. Instead, the trade says that he contracted an illness called mononucleosis. Nick Lashaway, John Magaro and Paulina Olszynski have also joined the cast, and Raul Esparza is in talks to play the film's serial killer. They join fellow cast members Denzel Whitaker, Shareeka Epps and Emily Meade. Production gets rolling this month in Connecticut.

Plot Concept: Seven teens are haunted by a serial killer who supposedly died when they were born.
Lashaway will play a bully, Magaro will play Thierot's comic sidekick, and Olszynski will play a popular beauty among the small-town characters.

Serpent and the Rainbow and People Under the Stairs are a few of my favorites,,,,i don't feel the need to mention the obvious Craven movies.

I would agree with Evilmonkey, but judging from the plot of this one it's not going to be it.

Serpent & the Rainbow was incredible! I don't know if I buy the story about mono. Couldn't he just take his meds, get some rest, wait a week, then go back to filming? Seems odd they would recast for something so minor.

Yeah, I promise Craven is a good film maker. When U hear him talk about his movies and what he's tryin' to do. U can tell he knows what he's doin'. I think he needs to write his own movies, which he hasn't done in a while. When he does his own stuff it's usually pretty good. I think he still has fuel left in the tank, he just needs to start using it.
