Max Thieriot (Jumper) has replaced former leading star Henry Lee Hopper for Wes Craven's return to the world of horror, 25/8, says the Hollywood Reporter. Contrary to previous reports, Dennis Hopper's son didn't bow out of the project due to creative differences. Instead, the trade says that he contracted an illness called mononucleosis. Nick Lashaway, John Magaro and Paulina Olszynski have also joined the cast, and Raul Esparza is in talks to play the film's serial killer. They join fellow cast members Denzel Whitaker, Shareeka Epps and Emily Meade. Production gets rolling this month in Connecticut.
Plot Concept: Seven teens are haunted by a serial killer who supposedly died when they were born. Lashaway will play a bully, Magaro will play Thierot's comic sidekick, and Olszynski will play a popular beauty among the small-town characters.
