Last year it was announced that producer 'Pirates of the Caribbean' producer Jerry Bruckheimer was producing a new 'Lone Ranger' movie. The script was to be written by 'Pirates' scribes Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. None other than Johnny Depp was attached to star as the Ranger's native sidekick Tonto. The whole thing was being eyed as Disney's next big franchise after 'Pirates'.
Then, back in June, the whole prospect seemed to have cooled a bit as team Sparrow seemed more focused on a fourth 'Pirates' movie.
Now IESB.net has laid hands on the script for the film. They're giving their readers a highly-detailed summary (with copious SPOILERS) of the story for the film.

KryptonSite's Target419 has posted images from the second episode of FOX's Human Target, set to air on January 20, 2010. The images from the episode, titled "Embassy Row," feature Mark Valley as Chance with guest star Emmanuelle Vaugier as Emma.
Bleeding Cool reports that fans in the UK will see Matthew Vaughn's movie 'Kick-Ass' starting April 2nd, a full two weeks before fans in the US will get a chance to see it.
Rubbing it in more than a little bit, Rich Johnston writes, "That’s two weeks worth of spoilers to fill the net. And from what I hear the film does take divergences from the comic, so there’s plenty to spoil."
However, he must concede defeat on at least one front. "The film is called Kick Ass instead of Kick Arse. Damn Americans, you win again."
Independent top-dog Gregg Bilson Jr. wrote, "Marvel films is considering filming Captain America in the UK, WTF!"
That is the very definition of sketchy information right there. However, since Bilson is in the biz he may have heard something in the pursuit of landing a contract for the Marvel movie.
Of course, we know that 'Captain America' will film, at least in part, at Raleigh Studios in California. However, given that the movie will spend at least some of its time in the World War 2 time-frame, it's not hard to imagine that there would be some location filming done in Europe as well.
At any rate, we can hard take this micro-burst of chatter as anything other than rumor at this point.
Collider.com chatted with 'Sherlock Holmes' producer Dan Lin and asked him about his various comic book projects. Surprisingly, his plans to bring a third-tier DC Comics title to the big screen seem closest to fruition.
"['Suicide Squad' is] a different kind of superhero movie. For us that’s a super villain movie. It’s almost 'Dirty Dozen' set in the world of supervillains," Lin told Collider. "That’s the only one for me that’s on the front burner."
The producer did predict that the near-future could reveal more about other projects he's attached to, such as 'Justice League' and 'Wonder Woman'.
"[Warner Bros. is] unveiling their DC strategy in January so you’ll hear more about that and they’ll speak about that in the new year," Lin said.

Our sources at DC Entertainment tell us that recent rumors of a 'Hawkman' movie are "totally fabricated". Perhaps the authors of the rumor were confused by the upcoming 'Smallville: Absolute Justice' movie, which features the character prominently.
On the other hand, as we said earlier in the week, we have to assume that the newly formed DC Entertainment is open to takes on all characters in their rich library of intellectual properties.
Comics2Film at Mania.com has heard that work is proceeding on the 'Green Lantern' movie as you would expect from a film in this stage of pre-production. This includes nailing down costume and set designs, working up props etc.
This also means that the actors have to start worrying about being in super hero shape.
That shouldn't be a problem for leading man Ryan Reynolds, right? The guy's on the cover of Men's Health ever six months or so. His chiseled physique was even the source of a Betty White punchline, when the actress called him an "ab-crunching jackass" in a promo bit for 'The Proposal'.
Never the less, Reynolds has begun a training regimen for the film. Surprisingly, sources tell us that director Martin Campbell is actually looking to get Mr. Reynolds trimmed down a bit to play test pilot-turned-space cop Hal Jordan in the film. Apparently he wants a more toned, athletic look and less of a bulky, muscled look.
At some point Reynolds is going to have to put on a tight-fitting Lantern suit, at which point his ripped physique would seem to come in handy.
Filming on 'Green Lantern' begins early next year.
Yahoo! Movies have posted the latest clips from next year's 'Solomon Kane' movie. This footage gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the creatures from the film. Enjoy!
