Is Millar a little cocky? yes, but so are so many other people in the business. I mean he obviously has faith in the characters he creates and they haven't been doing too bad out there. I mean look at Cameron. He is one cocky dude and forget about Micheal Bay. I mean if he didn't produce quality product like that a$$clown Uwe Boll then I'd say yeah, go on and hate the dude, because he hasn't done $hit and still thinks he's the man.

Sorry the "color "bothers you Hobbs. Like Samson said Marvel are the ones who decided to use Jackson's likeness for the Ultimates Nick Fury. He didn't ask them to do it. And because he is a real person, it makes sense to use him in the movies. Personally I prefer the Nick Fury in normal continuity, but for the movies its fine. Color has nothing to do with it.

Also Sam Jackson is right. He should get some more screen time to shoot somebody or at least lead a battle. That`s what Nick Fury regardless of which one, does.  And I would love to see a SHIELD Helicarrier in a movie. How awesome would that be?

I'm game for a Kick-Ass sequel especially if Hit Girl takes center stage as Kick-Ass himself took a backseat to Big Daddy and her in the first one anyway. They totally stole the show.

Wiseguy- no Mark Hamil hasn't directed anything as of yet- I know he helped develop a documentary of some sort but i don't think he was in the directors chair. He has done a lot of hollywood work since his star wars days- most famously his dead on animated voice for the joker in the 1980s batman franchise

I hope the black pearl is a success for him. He deserves it.

Crow- I honestly dont see anyone toping Brandon Lee's performance. I'll wait for a trailer but I will proably rent this one.

Jackson as Fury- @Hobbs- this time I have to disagree with you- Perhaps once you have seen more of him in IM2 you will feel diferently. And Samson is right about marvel redoing fury. I remember that being a big thing when it happend. A lot of comic geeks like myself were talking about it. However I don't remember the latest version of Nick to be in his own comic- I have been away from comics for awhile so I could be wrong.

KickAss- I loved the movie and I'm happy with the success. I just hope Millar doesn't turn into another Kanye West -many talented people have fallen out of favor because of an inflated ego.

Two Words Steve Norrington: Female Crow. It's only been done in the comics with Iris Shaw. I think after the first movie, the tv show, the comics, and whatnots, everybody knows Eric Draven front to back. I'm telling you, Female Crow will makes teh monies.

I love! Millars Decision (yeah , he did it) to use Sam Jackson as the likeness for ULTIMATE Nick Fury... The old White guy still exist and is running rampant in the 616. So you don't have to get up in arms over Nick Fury should be white.

The decision to use Ultimate Nick Fury in the Movie is cool with me, as MOST of Marvels movies have taken nods from the Ultimate Universe. The color doesn't matter, BUT I guarantee if black people had the freedom to be in a position of creativity in the 40's through the 60's we would have more black characters. I think it's a nice gestureand only going to help the medium of comics to include more ethnicities in the stories. EVEN if it means turning a second Stringer (yeah no matter how much you love him, NO mainstream household knows who Nick Fury is) into a black guy.

Turning Spidey or Supes, or Cap into another ethnicity I'm not for, but supporting characters is ok by me. Is that racist? I hope not... but as I typed it it seemed a little racist to me....

Gary Coleman would make a horrible Superman. Fact.

As I said, what Marvel did with Nick Fury was one of their biggest mistakes.  Just so there isn't any confusion, its not a race thing.  If they changed the Black Panther white and used Matt Damon as the model I would betch and complain about that just as much.

Maybe Calibur is correct, maybe I'll feel different once I see Jackson in IM2.  I am basing it off his Mace performance...Jackson is a bad ass, not a good guy and to try and make him something he isn't doens't work very well.

The difference is Hobbs,

That King T'challa is a native Wakandan, and of the royal family, meaning he is a indigenous to that land, a land that had an entire indigenous population of black people.

Nick Fury is an American, America is made up of almost every race and so it makes little difference what color he is. H e can still be a WW2 war hero...

A white guy couldn't be born into a royal native African family, and if it happened he certainly wouldn't be allowed to take the throne.

Another thing is Black Panther is a stereotype. The only black characters we have are based on stereotypes. A black King from Africa. How many Black heroes did Marvel create that were not sidekicks, or stereotypes. If more black creators were welcomed into the fold in the 50's & 60's we would have a bunch more real black heroes.
