Yay?  I'm not excited about this at this point.  It'll take some real movie magic to get me out to see it when it comes out.

"Amicably settled out of court" sounds like they shook hands over a pitcher of beer at the neighborhood bar.

This project is better off dead.

I don't see any point in remaking The Crow.  The original still holds up for modern audiences just fine.  Seems like just a blatant money grab, which isn't The Weinstein Company's usual way of doing things.  Relativity on the other hand...

Maybe one day I'll sit down and watch the original.

Anyway according to some here the film wasn't a loyal adaptation of the source so a reboot may actually add something.

A really faithful reboot would be a bleak, fucking violent, anguished scream of a movie. Could be very cool, but not really one for the romance fans. The original comic certainly was a love story, but it was done so differently. The original film is still one of my favourites, but a faithful reboot would be worth seeing, if it was also a good film! :)

lets go to court over a hollywood rehash of territory better not revisited.

USE....THE....SOURCE MATERIAL.   Film it in black & white with color for accents.  Use the g*ddamnd comic.  Sure, the 1994 version still holds up if you don't care about the comic book it was loosely based on.  Those of us who were Crow fans before the film was released are still waiting for a faithful adaptation.  No kid sidekick, no guitar solos on rooftops.  The Crow is gothic noire not a grunge anthem.

Totallly agree with scytheofluna, and hope upon hope that they watch the sequels and see how not to make this movie. And yes the graphic novel was bleak, it was obviously based on a dark moment in J O`Barrs life, we love the story, we love the graphic novel, we will love a true interpretation in movie form.
