I think it looks cool...if the costumes were to look like Donner's then there would be some who start taking it apart as though it was a nod to Donner. I think that it's great that this looks nothing like it.

Yeah guys I am making a big assumption that they go the Crystal and snow route. I'm just thinking why wouldnt they, and will we actually favor such a new change if they didnt go that route? I also agree with many of you it doesnt have to be exactly like the Donner white clothing but I tend to think that it looks more appropriate than what they are doing now.

Jor-El's Clothing looks down right Medieval thats not something I come to expect from a highly advanced and intelligent race. Not to get into such a psychological aspect of things but we as humans see white for example as a form of purity. I'm not making such a leap but I think that if Kryptonians really existed this would likely be the case. Or atleast the aspect of bright colors, lol.

Now as for the military aspect of Kryptonian society this uniform Jor-El wears works perfectly, but for a scientist? i think not. Even black works well for Kryptonians. I actually love the Black and White Kryptonian suits they had in the animated series, it works. Black doesnt necessary reflect evil, but it works. As for this new armor Jor-El wears, it says to me Heraldry, something that I would expect a Kryptonian to wear possibly thousands of years ago from the current time we see Jor-El. Not something that we should see in his day and age. Just my opinion.

No Momitchell7 I haven't met Crowe but any actor who says out loud that they are "the greatest living actor" clearly has no shortage of self esteem, to put it kindly.  Numerous interviews with writers and other non-actors who have worked with Crowe in the past have shared many anecdotes on how demeaning it can be to work with the illustrious Mr. Crowe, espeically after receiving his first Oscar.  As I said before, he is a very talented actor but people have been telling him that he is the greatest so long he has completely bought his own hype.  Mark my words, he'll end up a crazy fat-ass secluded on a private island by the time he is 65.

I think it looks damn cool, and screams "EPIC!". I do love the Donner design aesthetic and the fact that Singer honoured that and after Superman Returns, the comics finally adopted the crystalline Krypton design (and did anyone see the second DC Universe Online trailer, with Luthor at the Fortress of Solitude? Look familiar?) - so it's pretty clear that the Donner version is very much in the public consciousness. However I was also a huge fan of John Byrne's design for Krypton, and I hope that this photo indicates a bold new direction again.  Very much looking forward to this film.

I still say Superman needs a belt on his costume though. The golden navel-warmer stuck on his belly looks very silly in all the photos I've seen.

After seeing the new movie Supes costume and how much it resembles the relaunch Superman comic book cover, I think I we need to do to see how this movie will look and feel is read the reboot...  Not happy about it, I like Donner's Superman and the old comics, but I see how DC is putting it's ducks in a row.
