TLC will premiere a special one-hour program, which will feature Phenomena Senior Editor, David V. Barrett. Phenomena is the sister site & magazine to Cinescape.

DA VINCI DECLASSFIED takes a fresh, fast paced and fun look at Dan Brown's bestseller, The Da Vinci Code, and the mysterious secret society that controls and manipulates events throughout the novel: The Priory Of Sion.

Brown states its existence is a fact. Well, is it? If so, who's behind it and what are its real goals? And whose destinies are they ultimately out to control? Now, TLC takes viewers on a journey through two thousand years of European history and art, going on location throughout Europe to unravel intricate clues about the Priory.

The show, produced by Beantown Productions, will air on TLC this Sunday October 30th at 10 pm (E/P) in the US.

I have to admit, the first time I read the DaVinci Code, Brown had be believing all this Priory Of Scion, stuff. He`s definitely good at weaving fact and fiction together to make it sound plausible, but after doing my own research, I realized he was about as plausible and truthful as the Blair Witch story. Hey, it made him a bestseller, so I guess I can`t hate, but for him to continually state that this is all true is getting old. Besides, to be honest, I liked Angels and Demons way better than DaVinci Code.

Yeah I liked Angels and Demons better as well. I also liked Digital Fortress a lot. DaVinci Code was good but not the first time I heard a story like that. Check out the PC game Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned for a similar story.

I also thought Angels and Demons was a bwtter book, althought the dialogue in both is pretty basic. For me, and I enjoyed boths books a lot, the enjoyment in both novels is the intrigue of the plot and the history behing the plot. Yes, a lot of the history is either made up, extrapolated to the extreme or has just enough truth to sound feasable, but it's still fun to mix real history with conjecture. And, the books have really made people learn a little more about some of our world's history. I just finished a great book on the Knights Templar because of Brown's books. I don't think that he should present his books as based on fact, but hey, he's just trying to make a few bucks so I can't really fault him too much.

My thing is he continues to say that it is, in fact true. Maybe he really believes it. Who knows?
