Iron Man Disses The DARK KNIGHT - Aug 16, 2008 - 11:24pm
I agree with whoever compared TDK and Iron Man to Reggie Miller, Karl Malone and Michael Jordan The better film won; Marvel has had its day in the sun for far too long now. It's time for DC to reclaim the throne that is most rightfully theirs now. Marvel only has Punisher (which will tank if you believe the PG-13 rumors) and Wolverine (which might be good but may suffer from one cameo too many) in the immediate future. Warners and DC need to get their heads out of their collective a$$e$ and start putting out quality product now. Catwoman and Batman & Robin are irrelevant bad dreams now so its time for DC to step it up. Judging from the buzz on a potential Green Lantern movie and that more than awesome Watchmen trailer, they may finally be getting it right and listening to the fans.

Isaac Hayes Passes Away at 65 - Aug 10, 2008 - 09:28pm
Well all I have to say is that it sucks to be ripping on the man because of his religion. I dont care if he was an atheist or worshipped snakes, the fact is the world lost a great talent and if some of you could get your cynical heads out of your asses you would realize that he did more music than any of these pretenders today.

Perry's MARRIED Wins in DVD Sales - Feb 21, 2008 - 03:34pm
I would be remiss if I didnt acknowledge this animosity towards Tyler Perry. I find his films to be thoroughly entertaining but too "happy." How can we write about a world that doesn't exist? I have to wonder if all of this animosity towards him has anything to do with his skin color, though. If the name of the picture was Kevin Smith's Why Did I get Married? would there still be this animosity?

Bond 22 Has a New 'Quantum' Title - Jan 25, 2008 - 09:23am
IN RESPONSE TO VERBAL KENT: MY MOM IS CRIPPLED, ASSHOLE SO I'D APPRECIATE IT IF YOU LEFT HER NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH BITCH! MY POST WAS MEANT AS A JOKE! SO GO FUCK YOURSELF!

Bond 22 Has a New 'Quantum' Title - Jan 24, 2008 - 05:00pm
You know, I looked up both of those words today on dictionary.com and thesaurus.com and dudes, y'know what the title translates to? "Amount of Comfort," lol. Considering that the only thing that really comforts Bond is killing and getting laid, maybe they're going to up the violence and sex in this one.

Update: Ledger's Autopsy Is Inconclusive - Jan 22, 2008 - 04:00pm
I first saw Heath in the Patriot. I said to myself, this guy has talent. Then i saw him in the 10 things teen comedy and I still said that the guy was going places. Then I saw Monster's Ball and his status as a leader of this new indie generation of actors was confirmed. I didnt watch Brokeback but thats not the issue here. The issue is that a little girl has lost her father and the world has lost one of its most promising talents. I was looking forward to not only seeing him as a new Joker but in many, many more roles. He was the kind of actor who I will tell my kids about when I get to be in 50s, in the same way folks talk about Olivier, Brando, and those guys. This sucks beyond all compare. Him and Renfro both were taken too soon, man. On a more personal note, I feel even more sorry for his little girl. No parent should ever have to grow up without either of their parents. I see guys all the time with kids and they dont fucking (excuse me) take care of them and here this poor little girl is who will have to grow up without a father and theyre abusing this blessing. God Bless Heath Ledger and the Ledger family.

Jack Nicholson Talks About Nolan's JOKER - Nov 08, 2007 - 03:30pm
I think in all fairness Jack was joking (no pun intended) about Ledger and Nolan's picture. Jack has never been known as an ass kisser and despite the fanboy hate towards him and the fact that Begins was the better picture, Jack is not gonna take the high road and kiss Ledger's ass. I think the performances of both men will be remembered as two great, albeit different takes on the greatest comic book villain of all time

SWEENEY TODD Trailer #1 - Oct 05, 2007 - 08:43am
Well, there has been alot of hate towards Tim Burton in recent years with the Batman thing. I ain't jumping on the bandwagon. I can honestly say that this looks like his best work yet. The only thing that bothers me is the singing but its based on a musical so what can I say.

Fox Has Director for STREET FIGHTER - Sep 06, 2007 - 09:36pm
I like Chun-Li as well as the next man but hell, how the f uck can you make a Street Fighter movie without Ryu and Ken? Just because the Van Damme movie sucked doesnt mean you can't use the same characters and do them justice. Has anyone learned ANYTHING from Chris Nolan? This is another example of Hollywood taking something from another medium and f ucking it up big time! Maybe next year's strike is a good thing.

A JOUST Movie in Development - Sep 04, 2007 - 06:55pm
They really dug deep at the bottom of the barrel for this one, dudes. Joust? Damn! Looks like we've got our first full fledged LotR/Harry Potter rip off on our hands. I guess now Pac-Man will be gettin optioned. I'm still holding out for that obscure old school NES title, "Kid Icarus," though, lol.

Jeff Fahey Ready for LOST - Aug 28, 2007 - 07:03pm
It's good to see Fahey gettin steady work again. He's one of those actors who is under the radar that Hollywood seems to ignore. I personally don't care for Lost but it's good to see him acting again.

The FOURTH HORSEMAN Rides to Intrepid - Aug 28, 2007 - 06:23pm
This is either a make it or break it concept. Either this will be something fresh and thought provoking for the cynics and those brain dead critics to eat up or this will be another casualty of the Hollywood creatvie recession we're in.

Ridley Hired For Lucas' RED TAILS - Aug 28, 2007 - 06:20pm
I figured when I read this some brain dead cynic was gonna start talking about Star Wars and Spike Lee's career. This is a good project for both men and not because of the race issue but it just seems to be a good story anyway. I'm glad Lucas is moving beyond Star Wars. He should have been choosing other projects a long, long time ago (that wasn't a pun). Let's see where this goes.

Routh, Bale Out of JUSTICE LEAGUE - Aug 22, 2007 - 09:27am
I think its a good move to keep the franchise separate. Mixing it up is no way to continue the groove with what they had going with Returns and Begins. Personally, I think the project should be computer animated and with all this realism crap, they made the right decision to recast.

DARK KNIGHT Footage at Wizard World Con - Aug 12, 2007 - 06:29pm
I'm sorry, dudes. . . .I have to say it BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER. . .that is all

Warner Bros Takes on DRAGON Remake - Aug 10, 2007 - 08:20am
Out of all the projects to remake, they shouldnt be remaking this one. That film has stood the test of the time as the premiere gem in Kung Fu Cinema. God, this creative recession is really starting to get on my nerves.

Hurt, Bruhl Join THE COUNTESS - Aug 09, 2007 - 08:11pm
Dudes! I saw a History Channel documentary on this chick Elizabeth of Bathory! She was a total and complete psycho. She makes other serial killers' bloodlust look pale in comparison. She lured girls in, slept with them, and then slaughtered them and bathed in their blood. I always thought that this story would be too graphic to film but it looks like Im wrong. Lets hope Hollywood dont't neuter this story like they neutered Venom

Warner Bros Takes on JONNY QUEST - Aug 08, 2007 - 11:02am
Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Garfield, etc. etc. were all made into movies. When they announced Speed Racer and Transformers made all of that money, I knew it was a matter of time before this was greenlighted. I'm not a Jonny Quest fan but I KNEW it was a matter of time.

Anime BATMAN Set In Between BB & DK - Aug 07, 2007 - 03:23pm
This is just my opinion: Batman and anime? Sounds like a match made in Heaven

SPIDER-MAN 3 Hits DVD Oct 30 - Aug 04, 2007 - 11:49am
I was in the dark when it came to the comic interpretation of Venom. Luckily, Marvel had put up Amazing Spidey #316 in digital format; I read it fro the 1st time and theres a scene where Venom suffocates a rat with his web and threatens to do the same to a homeless man. I was like wow. Now I understand why everybody was so pi$$ed with Venom in the movie. The filmmakers neutered another character but I do not hate them for it. Forgive me for being late with the comics, I only recently started back reading them.

Good Breakdown of WOLVERINE Details - Aug 03, 2007 - 10:03pm
Wolverine is the reason I got into X-Men and Marvel. I want him in a three hour epic akin to Wyatt Earp or The Last Samurai (personal opinion) They should start with the onset of his powers like in Origin, World War II, his time with the Blackfoot Indians, Japan, and then Weapon X. We should get just enough snippets of his life to care about the character. Thats how you do it. But Fox is only intereste din making an action movie so they'll probably phuck it up like they did with Elektra, X3, and Daredevil. I care for those films but do not love them; they coulda been better

Miller Directing JUSTICE LEAGUE? - Aug 02, 2007 - 03:52pm
Everybody keps crying about realism and cheesiness but the fac to fthe matter is I think this cold work if they brought in Dini and Timm an dlet a well respected playwrigth handle the dialogue. Everybody's asking, "Batman has no powers! How would he fit in?" All the have ot do is watch the Dini/Timm Justice League and they have their template. They'd be better off filming Man of Steel first and then Wonder Woman. I wouldnt mind seeing a Justice League film but this is the Age of Cynicism so we're a long way off at best

Francis Directs Live Action SNOW WHITE - Aug 01, 2007 - 04:10pm
So Queen Amidala is gonna be throwing kung fu with dwarves? lol. Whats next? Spidey on Ice? LotR as a Saturday morning cartoon? lol

SPIDER-MAN 4 Needs a Writer - Jul 30, 2007 - 09:16pm
I think Sony is stupid for not letting the franchise cool off for a few years. My personal OPINION is that all of the kicka$$ Spidey villains have been done. I dont see why Spidey should fight a Jurassic Park looking reject in a sewer. This is only my opinion though. Money talks, the other stuff walks and as long as their is a demand, the studios will supply. Ahh, capitalism. Anyway, I like SM3 but like Last Stand, it felt a little rushed, as if the filmmakers were tired of the characters they've brought to the silver screen or something. Thats why we need ppl like the team behind LotR doin these movies. Only my opinion

The SIMPSONS Dominate Box Office - Jul 29, 2007 - 08:29pm
Damn! Homer and crew stomped everybody else! God bless Matt Groening, man because its just goes on to show you that there is still fire in the furnace

Comic Con: INCREDIBLE HULK Highlights - Jul 29, 2007 - 07:51pm
I remember being scared of the original Hulk TV show when I was a kid. I grew outo fit when I realized Banner's plight was similar to the plight of Dr. Jekyll. That psychological aspect was always what appealed to me about the Hulk. Im probably the only one in the world who enjoyed what Ang Lee did. But, I'm happy with the new direction theyre going in with Banner on the run. I like the fact that Hulk and Abomination get ot duke it out of the streets of NYC. This will probably be better than Ang Lee's version and I'm lookin forward to it.

Nelson Fights The INCREDIBLE HULK - Jul 26, 2007 - 05:20pm
Its not exactly a reboot. The first one will not be mentioned at all but it will still serve as a loose backstory for this one. Sort of like what Singer did with Superman Returns. They're not starting over. That was what Batman Begins did. For this movie, they're just taking the story in a different route than Ang Lee.

Official Cast for WATCHMEN - Jul 26, 2007 - 02:28pm
I havent read Watchmen yet but when I get paid, it will be the first graphic novel I buy after I pay my bills. The casting seems to suggest that they are going for a character driven piece as most of these actors have had either indie or television experience. This is good news but I wont be able to make a full assessment until after Ive read the novel and have some kind of idea of where Snyder is going with it.

Nelson Fights The INCREDIBLE HULK - Jul 26, 2007 - 02:24pm
I think the character is there to set up for the villain for another sequel. I dont think the Hulk is gonna have double trouble. I think its good casting ontheir part and hopefully they will set up the Leader fro Hulk 3.

HEX Put on Warner Bros. - Jul 24, 2007 - 07:57pm
Could somebody tell me about Jonah Hex? The only time I've ever really heard of him was when he guest starred on Batman: TAS. Why is the Countdown such a sucky story? Is it retconning everything like Infinite Crisis?

Fox Pulls Out of COMIC CON - Jul 19, 2007 - 11:26am
I do not know what is Fox's logic for canceling an appearance at Comic Con. I've never been to it but recognize its importance as a forum to get your stuff out there. Depending on what is going on in the marketing department, only time will tell if this move will hurt fox in the long run.
