It seems that director Ron Howard may have let slip a piece of book news a little earlier than the publisher wanted. While talking about his upcoming adaptation of Angels & Demons to Entertainment Tonight, Howard said that author Dan Brown has completed his third book based on the fictional, mystery-solving Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon.

But publisher Doubleday isn't ready to confirm that the book is done. A spokeswoman for Brown's publisher would say only that Brown "is making great progress," stopping short of a full confirmation or denial.

"We do not yet have a title or publication date to share," added spokeswoman Suzanne Herz.

Plot Concept: Sources have indicated that this third novel is titled "The Solomon Key" and would be based in Washington D.C., centering on the Freemasons.

I'd check it out.  I liked the first two novels. Don't know that I'd rush out and buy it on release day, but I'd get it from the library or eBay.

I too liked this book when it ws called National Treasure.  I assume the plot will be different enough.  Being fair to Brown, I suppose his choices are limited here.  Can we blame the Catholic Church for the JFK assasination? Or how about Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster? Hmmm...

No matter what its going to be a let down. He can't top or even equal the Divinci Code.  It will probably be like Angels and Demons which was so-so...with a horrible ending.  I hope they changed that part for the movie.

I agree with you syxx80...though not a lot of info has been released about it i thought of National Treasure as well....though some might argue that National Treasure ripped off Dan Brown when they wrote the script.

The Solomon key....King Solomons mines maybe? Connection between freemasons and that?  I'll still buy the book as well.

I'll be there for Dan Brown!

National Treasure was a national disaster.

Come on Nicky Cage, I know exposition isn't the easiest part of acting, but you sucked at it in this movie.
