Wow, are they hyping this book up like I rarely see in books except for Harry Potter.  It's going to be a huge best seller for Brown but I'm starting to think overall the story is going to be a let down.

Wouldn't be cool if they got Tom Hanks to read the audio version ?

I've enjoyed Brown's Langdon-centered adventures. I think most of the dialogue in the books is weak, but I really enjoy the way Brown mixes historical fact with theory and just plain fiction. That's the strength of his books.

For my money, Steve Berry's Cotton Malone books and James Rollins' Sigma series offer better writing in the genre. I've recently read William Dietrich's enjoyable adventures of Ethan Gage set in the 1880s. I definitely recommend all three of those writers for fans of historical mystery/adventure novels.

I don't read much but I'm looking forward to this book.  I dig his previous Langdon adventures.  Plus once I finish reading it I can go run around DC trying to see what the guy was talking about.

I don't know who's idea it was to change the name, and maybe the story changed to make it irrelevant, but I prefer The Solomon Key over The Lost Symbol. I'm sure somone has a reason, but........

I wonder if this one will have DC power-elites up in arms like Da Vinci Code did for Catholics. That would be fun to see congressional decrees that they're not at ALL like Langdon's portrayal!

.......On the other hand, maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas...

I've got this on added to my chrismas list. I enjoyed the other books and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one too.
