I got a bad feeling about this...

Say it ain't so Frank, say it ain't so!  Spielberg produces a lot of things but still makes movies.  You could do the same thing.

Dang.  Looks like Darbont just wanted to get the show off the ground and let the new talent take over...  Maybe?  I hope that's the real reason.

I am not liking this information on the best show on TV that i am watching.  Didn't they also get rid of the writes for season 1 also???  I still can't wait for 10/16/11 so we can see the new season.  Gotta update my zombie survival kit ASAP!!!

He looked to be having a great time in the pressroom. Everything seemed fine. WTF?

Tevii 7/28/2011 7:51:10 AM

I think this show will be fine. Gale Anne Hurd is still a producer on the show. GALE ANNE HURD, the greatest producer of all time!!!

Walking Dead will be fine

They just handed the showrunner duties to Glen Mazzara.  He was a producer, writer and senior story editor on The Shield.  With that, my fears are allayed.  Looking at his resume, he has a lot of experience on some pretty decent shows.  Should be OK.

I've been wondering since yesterday whether Frank is leaving so he can focus on somehow bringing The Dark Tower to the silver screen. Now that Universal has passed. I was waiting for one of you Maniacs to bring it up...

If Darabont does anything, he should do Preacher, great comic and I beleive he could really do it justice.  I am reading the Dark Tower now and its not my favorite Stephen King novel, none of the Dark Tower series have been great.  If any King novel deserves a movie, I'd say his doppleganger Richard Bachman's novel The Regulators, which was better than Desperation, which I also loved or and I don't know if you've read it yet, but a couple of his short stories from Full Dark, No Stars were great. I could see Darabont directing an adaptation of 1922 or Fair Extension, hell maybe even Big Driver.
