Caveman- Great idea. That would be a much better plan to reboot them together as opposed to having to watching more origin reboots... *Bleh!*  Kind of like the Superman/Batman movie that will never happen......*CoughwarnergeturshittogetherCough*

Marvel should sue Fox in order to get the rights back for DD, FF, along with X-men.  I see no legal argument that would justify Fox retaining those rights indefinitely.  Whoever made that previous deal at Marvel many years ago should've had their heads examined!

@violator14 ever read online the script to the superman/batman movie? my god if they would have made that it would have been amazing! the plot was just awesome and well written why they never made it was pure stupidity!

Jessica Simpson? No way.  All he has to do is cast Kristen Stewart as Sue Storm and voila! Instant adultery!

I wish it was so. Disney has a lot of cash and I'm surprised they don't have a team of lawyers trying to look at any loophole. I wonder if they could use the argument of "well, your X-men, FF and DD franchises or lack of, are hurting our comic and toy sales"

Now that we know October 10th is the deadline date for DD, why can't we have one for the FF rights? This would have us all circle our calendars and create a countdown.

MrEt 8/7/2012 12:24:21 PM

I agree with Inner that Dr Strange needs to be made even before we get more of the rights back to Marvel.

@ ElBaz I wish we had a countdown for just about every character, even if I enjoyed the spiderman, or the first FF, I love the whole aspect of an actual Marvel universe. Just make the studios promise to noe kill us with Origin stories

I don't want Sony to go bankrupt.  They make some cool stuff.  I'm typing on a Sony laptop right now.  Their electronics rock, IMHO.  Their comic book movie franchise...not so much.  But, it makes them $$$.  I believe, despite how terrible the films were, both FF movies made pretty good bank.  And, I wasn't a huge fan of DD, but I can't say it was terrible either.  The two scenes that stick out as really stupid are when he is a kid sliding down a wire and when he meets Electra and they battle on a teeter totter.  Silly stuff that took away from the film.

Sony will not go bankrupt. At the beginning of the year, Wall Street Journal predicted they would take a huge hit but not fold. One of the hits would be Sony Pictures. Here is the exerpt:

Sony has a studio production arm which has nothing to do with its core businesses of consumer electronics and gaming. Sony bought what was Columbia Tri-Star Picture in 1989 for $3.4 billion. This entertainment operation has done poorly recently. Sony’s fiscal year ends in March, and for the period revenue for the group dropped 15% to $7.2 billion and operating income fell by 10% to $466 million. Sony is in trouble. It lost $3.1 billion in its latest fiscal on revenue of $86.5 billion. Sony’s gaming system group is under siege by Microsoft  and Nintendo. Its consumer electronics group faces an overwhelming challenge from Apple. The company’s future prospects have been further damaged by the Japan earthquake and the hack of its large PlayStation Network. CEO Howard Stringer is under pressure to do something to increase the value of Sony’s shares. The only valuable asset with which he can easily part is Columbia which would attract interest from a number of large media operations. Sony Entertainment will disappear with the sale of its assets

So relax, the Playstation will not go down. I'm sure they will sell assets but definitely keep the core like their electronics, and focus on that.
