Dark Castle Entertainment is working on direct-to-DVD movies for Warner Bros.' new home entertainment label Warner Premiere. Castle will produce not only horror films, but also action and thrillers. The movie will be a combinatino of prequels, sequels and even orginal titles.

The first project will be RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL. Variety reports Castle and Warner "are sweetening the pot for consumers able to play high-def DVD formats, introducing "navigational cinema" technology that will allow viewers to interact with the storyline."

The High-Def versions of RETURN, which will come out in October, will feature seven viewer choices which can lead to 90 different storylines.

Other projects currently being worked on are WIDOW WHISPS and CHEERLEADERS IN TROUBLE.

I hate "Choose-your-own-adventure" DVDs. If I want to play a video game, I will play a video game.
When I want to watch a movie, then I "watch" the movie.

Actually, I like "Choose-your-own-adventure" DVDs. I'm not one of them sucker fan-drones for consoles. I'm not THAT gullible.

However, this doesn't sound like it. More like a movie with multiple viewing angles, a feature found in most DVD playback devices.

I enjoy this style of DVD also. I don't want all dvds to be like this, but there is nothing wrong with releasing a few of these. Interactivity is always nice and may help get some extra mileage out of the product.

I mean if you really don't like it, don't buy it. Simple solution, but most would rather just B&M.

Like father like daughter.
William was the master of schlock movies and gimmicks.
See "Matinee" if you want to know what I mean.
Woolsey was a very thinly disguised version of him.
