Two comic book superheroes are going to slug it out with a big-screen icon for the in the FAVORITE MOVIE category. Nominees are 'The Dark Knight', 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' and 'Iron Man'.
The same three nominees are also up for the FAVORITE ACTION MOVIE award.
The cast of 'The Dark Knight' gets another nod in the FAVORITE CAST category, throwing down against a bunch of chicks from 'Mamma Mia!' and 'Sex and the City'.
It's no surprise that Robert Downey Jr. gets a nod for FAVORITE MALE MOVIE STAR, contending with Harrison Ford and Will Smith.
Which takes nothing away from Christian Bale's nomination for FAVORITE LEADING MAN. He'll have to hold off Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg.
The two super guys also battle Will Smith for FAVORITE MALE ACTION STAR honors.
Bale and the late, great Heath Ledger get a nod in the FAVORITE ON-SCREEN MATCH-UP category, pitted against Tina Fey & Amy Poehler ('Baby Mama') and Harrison Ford & Shia LaBeouf ('Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull')
And no real surprises in the FAVORITE SUPERHERO category, the nominations of which go to Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Will Smith as John Hancock.
Thanks to Antonello Blueberry for the submission.
I voted in this!
I voted for Iron Man in all catagories it was nominated in, Robert Downey might win for best leading Man.
Tina Fey & Amy Poehler from Baby Momma? No offense to the ladies involved (I'm generally a big fan). but that movie was rancid. That Baby & Indy are up for anything only reminds me of how pathetic the masses are.
"Did you vote, Mr. Pirate?"
Hells no!
The People's Choice Awards are CRAP. Tell me what the difference is between "Favorite Male Movie Star" & "Favorite Leading Man"? And please Maniacs...that was a rhetorical question. Still, it's good to see that TDK is still holding it down;-)
