Dark Knight Rises Doctor's Orders TV Spot

Yet another Dark knight Spot

Yet another Dark Knight Rises TV Spot has emerged. Here we see Thomas Lennon playing Christian Bale's doctor.  The Doc tells him to take it “easy”. One has wonder what is left for Warner Brothers to show us in less than 10 days before the premiere. The credits? The scene at the after the credits maybe?

Plot Concept: Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' The Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar winner Christian Bale ("The Fighter") again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The Dark Knight Rises also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie en Rose"), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake.

Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules") plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") reprises the role of Lucius Fox.

The Dark Knight Rises swoops into 2D and IMAX theaters on July 20, 2012.

Same was said of that kids popcorn flick a couple of months ago Robert.  Still this TV spot was better than that steaming 3D turdfest.

Oh, the doctor's report. How can WB spare this exciting and suspenseful scene where the doctor tries to tell Wayne (unknowingly) that he can't be Batman ever again? The film, it is now ruined as this moment is gone.

Good grief I've watched less than half these spots and wonder if I am going to feel long streches of deja vu when I eventually see the film.

hanso 7/11/2012 3:03:26 AM

Doubtful you'll feel deja vu since the movie is 2:45 hrs and the footage they've shown so far is basically the same for much of the tv spots.

Lex0807 7/11/2012 4:27:32 AM

Am I mistaken or is the first time a hero is told on film he cannot go on for medical reasons? Rather than a combination of depression and guilt?

To anyone who is tired of these clips: just do not watch 'em! :P

wish 7/11/2012 4:29:43 AM

geesh how about a spoiler warning before ya go telling us what his doc tells him!  Not that it matters since we've already seen the entire movie in trailers right?...........Darth..........you're such a weirdo you know that? Haha! You're too busy informing people?  Of all the movies to pick to try and convince everyone around that it sucks, you go and pick one of most critically acclaimed and financially successful franchises of the last decade?

not that CrazyCEO is any better, trying to convince everyone that the movie that just tore a new anus in the planet is a bad film?  C'mon dudes, you guys are both fuckin retarded!  But I wouldn't be here if I wasn't a little retarded myself haha! choke!!! sputter!!! hack!! ahem....... Everyone's waiting for July 20, myself included, but what I can't wait to see are the comments around here on July 21st!!

DarthoftheDead 7/11/2012 4:31:26 AM

This picture looks like Bale just realized how bad his movie is compared to Avengers....

IamChuck2026 7/11/2012 5:00:44 AM

ugh, you can't say a movie sucks or rules till you see it.  Put the ruler away, zip up your pants, and wait for the f-ing movie to come out.
