I never understood why the fans make such the big deal about Batman's voice. Bruce Wayne is a major public figure, the mask may hide his face but I'm sure everyone in Gotham knows his natural voice. Of course he'd try to alter it when he's in the suit.

@ferretjohn - I dont think that people have a problem with Batmans voice at all, they just have a problem with the way Bale does it, lol, someone around here mentioned that Kevin Conroy is the only one to get the whole Bruce wayne/ Batman voice thing perfect...and I agree 100%....just my OPINION.....
I understand Mr Wayne is a well-known figure in Gotham City and would have to alter his voice while he is Batman so he isn't recognized.
I think they problem everyone has with Bale's Batman voice is how log and gritty sounding it is. You can change your voice without sounding like you're talking as a monster or something.
How many films are out there with actors/actresses that when they normally speak, have an accent yet when they take on a movie role, seem to lose that accent and sound completely different?
A recent example would be Andrew Garfield. Listen to his voice and accent in the interviews he does, and yet when you watch TASM, do you hear that same accent? Nope. He was able to alter his voice.
I'm not saying Batman should start using an accent. But he doesn't need to sound like he's trying to scare the crap outta some 12 yr old kid.
