I've already pre-ordered my ticket for opening day.

I got to see this last night at a pre-screening event with a movie industry relative of mine and all I have to say is FU Nolan. TDKR is an epic piece of crap! I'm glad you're done with Batman! TDK was serendipitous for you because of Heath Ledger. You didn't have a Heath Ledger this time around, which was painfully evident. Stay away from any other DC properties especially the JLA!

Another Idiot who thinks TDKR should be like TDK. The joker is gone. RIP HL. People need to stop comparing Bane To the Joker. This is the next chapter in the franchise. There is no more joker.

This movie will be epic.

 No spoilers in this one and yet I kind of wish there were.  I know I am in the minority when I say this, but I am just not feeling the love for any of these trailers, they don't have me excited to go and see it at all.  After what DarthBob says it sounds to me like this is going to be a rental for me, nothing more unless I hear from  A LOT of people that this movie is really good.

It's getting decidedly mixed reviews some of them that reflect DarthBob sentiments but using more delicate terms. Like "overstuffed" "flat out boring" and "a nonsensicle plot" "coldly cerebral" Another reviewer said that "half of Banes dialog was so garbled it needed subtitles".

@Flynn - try reading before commenting and dispense with the juvenile derision. I never said that TDKR should be like TDK. The only reason that TDK was as good as it was is because of the Joker as portrayed by HL; he was flat out awesome. This movie didn't have a Joker level performance from any actor to bailout Nolan this time. TDKR is obtuse and boring and the plot is downright inane. JGL and Oldman are excellent and Hathaway is much better than I anticipated. There is absolutely, positively no reason whatsoever to portray Bane as he is in this movie; rifrickindiculous! That's all I'm saying for now because I don't want to accidentally post a spoiler. The RT score would be in the teens if film critics actually read Batman comic books and understood the character.

 Redvectoe, how is it getting mixed reviews when its hovering around 86% on RottenTomatoes?    I dont consider that mixed.

No Darth BOB you expect Bane to be like the Joker. The Joker is gone. Nolan is moving past that and some people cannot accept that fact. Plus it is hard to top how good the second film was. Your problem is that and I quote "This movie didn't have a Joker level performance". So you should learn how to read. You have to watch the third film without thinking about the Joker character or preformance wise.

hanso- I know it is sacrilige and all, but RT isn't the end all, be all when it comes to posting- or even gathering- reviews. :P

That said I just read a review on AICN that probably would be around this score I guess (grades are stupid for a review anyway, it is the rest of the review that is important as that is where the reviewer should be making their case) and a review on a political site that loved it. Now both of them actually mentioned some of the same stuff but in the case of one of them they didn't buy into things where as the other said it reflected their views so it sounds like from these and a couple other reviews part (though not all) of what you get out of the movie is going to depend on what you bring into it and how you react to what it says...or what you think it says anyway.

 betenoire, i completely understand that.  ive seen metacrtic too, and the vast majority is positive reviews.  there are some negatives no doubt but not enough for me to say its getting mixed reviews.  so i asked redvector.  we may just have a diff take on whats mixed and thats ok.  plus ive only read one review cause i dont want spoilers.
